BEYOND VIAGRA WHAT LIES AHEAD?
Viagra has emerged as a favorite "cupid drug". The drug called Viagra
has been in the market for quite some time now and people suffering
from Erectile Dysfunction have found a nice and easy way to get their
problems cured. It has improved the sex lives of these people but
there are people who are still circumspect at embracing the drug.
Experts believe that the biggest problem that debars the treatment is
the lack of desire in people with Impotence. Getting above the "mental
fix" would definitely improve their sex and married lives. Stats show
that less than one in five Americans over the age of 40, who suffer
from Erectile Dysfunction, don't even bother to seek a prescription.
Today, sex is the most looked after activity in a couple's life with
people showing more concern towards their sexual life.
With the success of Viagra in men, people in Pharmaceutical industry
have sought the possibility of a similar drug for women. Well, it is
fine to have a drug that cures a disease as serious as Erectile
Dysfunction but is it a good approach to put the sex lives of people
at the mercy of "medicine cabinet". People demand sex drugs because
they want their sex lives more attractive and full of adventures but
their wish doesn't always hold true. Experts have registered their
concerns over the "Viagracism" of sex life.
Despite all the facts and theories about the "pros and cons" of the
drug, the sales of Viagra justify the success and the acceptance of
the drug. Apart from improving the sex life, Viagra has been found to
affect the sexual physiology of married couples.
Viagra plays mainly to the central nervous system and only indirectly
to the vascular system, which can bring about some major side effects
such as heart disease. However, proper consultations from a doctor and
some precautionary measures would protect you from any possible
discrepancy after consuming Viagra.
After the success of Viagra, we can conceive of a drug - similar in
nature- that would improve sexual desire in women. Well, that is not a
figment of imagination but a fact that has been under experimentation
and study for some time now. Clinical trials were done in two sets of
women where the first group was shown some erotic movies and the other
was given placebos. The women the first set were found being more
passionate and inclined towards sex than the ones in the other group.
After the success of Viagra, women have started demanding for a
"Viagra like drug" that could improve their "libido". Well, that is
not out of question, it could definitely help and with the efforts and
researches going on in this particular direction, we could see a drug
similar to Viagra in the coming months.
According to the tests that have been conducted so far, the drug
starts affecting within five to ten minutes and lasts up to eight
hours. The drug is likely to find a large market when it is complete
and ready to float.
